Esteemed Organization Demeter Congratulates Company President On ISPA Visionary Award
We are incredibly honored to receive a personal congratulations from Demeter USA on company President Boldijarre Koronczay’s recent win for ISPA Visionary of the Year, lauding Boldijarre’s “leadership in organic (and Biodynamic!) skin care”. In existence since 1928, Demeter provides the only certification in the world for Biodynamic® products and holds the strictest requirements for organic food internationally. We are proud to say that we were the first skin care company to receive Demeter International certification for Biodynamic® beauty products and we are still one of the very few to reach this highest possible qualification.
Why are Biodynamics® and Demeter so important to us at Éminence Organics? We sincerely believe that the principles of Biodynamics® are core to our products and practices. Founded by Rudolph Steiner - who was born in the Austro-Hungarian empire in 1861 - Biodynamics® stem from a balanced and holistic view of the universe.
The farm, in particular, is seen as a self-supporting eco-system with animals, plants and the cycles of nature working in conjunction towards maximum growth and fertility. Following these traditional guidelines, our farm in Hungary plants seeds and sprouts at specific cycles of the moon, coordinating with lunar patterns so that when the tides are high, roots receive the maximum in moisture and nutrition without need for chemical fertilizers. The chart to the left summarizes the planting cycles we follow on our farm, scheduled according to the phases of the moon. In terms of pesticides, we use herbal teas and honey traps from local bees instead of harsh chemicals to protect our plants from insects. The resulting crops of herbs, fruits and vegetables we grow on our farm have the greatest potency possible - ready to be hand-picked and hand-mixed for our pure and results-oriented skin care products.
