Everything You Wanted To Know About Éminence Organics

We recently asked you to pose brain-teasing questions for our company president, Boldijarre Koronczay, and we now have your answers! Drawing from his years of global experience in esthetics, Boldijarre sat down to our Q&A and personally replied to your pressing questions.

Curious about what makes our hot masques hot? Wondering how to get rid of dark undereye circles? We have the definitive answers and much more below:

Eminence Organics Clear Skin Probiotic MasqueKathyjo S. asks: "Can any of the masks be left on overnight for increased treatment?"

This is a great question! Big hugs to you, Kathyjo!

I primarily recommend leaving masques on for as long as possible (yes, even overnight!) if you are treating oily or acne prone skin. A clay-based masque, like our Clear Skin Probiotic Masque, will continue to draw impurities out from the skin even after the masque feels “dry” to the touch.

You can also leave cream-based masques on overnight to treat dehydrated skin. However, if a masque gets too dry overnight, it may dehydrate the skin – so make sure the masque stays moist.

Shelly H. asks: “What are the benefits of the 'heat' in the Eight Greens Phyto Masque - Hot?”

Thank you, Shelley, for this great question! The superstar element in our Eight Greens Phyto Masque - Hot is an Éminence signature ingredient: Hungarian hot paprika (or “erős paprika” as I would say in Hungarian).

Hungarian paprika is a spice made from red chili peppers and has eight varying levels of heat based on the peppers. By infusing the hotter version of this organic spice into the masque, we add extra stimulation to the skin.

Like running, exercising or sitting in a sauna, the heat from the paprika increases circulation to the skin, bringing fresh blood to the skin’s surface to help the complexion look radiant. This activity in blood flow also increases the oxygen intake of the skin cells which means that every product applied will absorb better . . . giving you even more amazing results.

Jennifer T. asks:  “How do I determine the cause of rosacea or dark circles on my face and what is the best product to address these issues?”

Jennifer, you get two answers in one - BONUS!

While rosacea and dark circles are very different skin concerns, they actually have some of the same causes. Generally speaking, rosacea and dark circles may result from lifestyle, allergies or genetics. However, there are many causes and it is best to see an esthetician if you have concerns about your specific skin concerns.

Rosacea is a result of capillaries under the surface of the skin that expand and dilate, creating redness and flushing. I recommend our Calm Skin Collection to help even skin tone and reduce sensitivity. If you are looking for one “hero product,” I would recommend the Calm Skin Arnica Booster-Serum that can be applied morning and night, under moisturizer, or mixed in with the moisturizer.

To help alleviate symptoms of dark circles, I suggest the Wild Plum Eye Cream and the Bearberry Eye Repair Cream from the Biodynamic® Collection. Both products contain eyebright, a botanical ingredient that improves the appearance of dark circles around the delicate skin under the eyes.

…BONUS TIP! Many times, dark circles can be affiliated with a lack of iron so be mindful of your iron levels.

Krista B. asks: “What exactly makes the Eight Greens Phyto Masque (and all the Eight Greens products) so magically hormone-balancing? Life-changing!”

Krista, I am so happy to hear that the Eight Greens Phyto products are life-changing for you! To hear this feedback from you totally makes my day. Thank you for sharing!

What makes the Eight Greens Phyto Masque and the Eight Greens Phyto collection so “magic” is the special selection of eight leafy greens such as yucca extract and red clover. These are just two of the amazing organic ingredients in the Eight Greens collection that contain naturally-occurring phytoestrogens.

Phytoestrogens are botanical (plant-based) hormones that are not synthetic. None of the organic plants featured in the products are genetically modified. Also, phytoestrogens are only absorbed at the skin’s surface so the bloodstream is not impacted.

These phytoestrogens increase the production of collagen to tighten the skin and also help counterbalance excessive oil production. Overactive oil production is generally the cause of cystic hormonal breakouts.

Sonya T. asks: "How do enzymes work to eat dead skin, and then what happens to the skin? Is there a by-product?"

Sonya, I really appreciate this question! You must know a lot about skin care already!

There are two types of exfoliation for the skin: physical and non-physical. Physical exfoliation features actual exfoliating granules that you can feel, like in our Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant.

Non-physical exfoliation uses botanical enzymes, like in our Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, to buff away dead skin cells. These fruit-and-vegetable based enzymes “undo the glue” between dead skin cells and healthy skin cells. This allows the dead skin cells to lift off the surface of the skin in a natural and healthy way. Removing dead skin cells prevents build-up that could cause congestion, smooths the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles. Any by-product from these skin cells gently washes away.

I recommend exfoliating two to three times a week to keep skin looking fresh and healthy.
