Have you ever wondered, “How do I even use all these products?” You’re not alone! This is a question our Eminence Organics Spa Partners and Product Support Team receive all the time. Whether you’re a skin care junkie or total newbie, it can be completely overwhelming to sort out how to order and apply your products. Luckily, our Lead Skin Care Trainer, Natalie Pergar, is here to provide guidance with five steps for an easy skin care routine. Watch and read along with this In The Mix video to learn how you can create the best skin care routine to leave your complexion glowing and revitalized.
Hi, I'm Natalie with Eminence Organic Skin Care, and welcome back to In The Mix. Today's focus is all about making yourself the best and most simple skin care routine. I thought I would just give you the rundown on the steps to get you where you need to go every day.
Step 1: Cleanse
So we always want to begin with a cleanser. So, just for example, today I'm showing you our Stone Crop Gel Wash. You can use a gel or you can use a milk, depending on how dry your skin is. So, you just want to do this a.m. and p.m., very simple.
Step 2: Tone
Second, is that you want to use a toner. Think of your cleanser and your toner as, like, the shampoo and conditioner for your skin. It's a great way so that you never forget to both of them daily, a.m and p.m.
Step 3: Treat
After you've prepped the skin, it's ready for all of the finishing products. So, we always like to do what we call a treatment to the skin, and this helps if you have something that you want to minimize or reduce the appearance of. Using serums is a really great way to do it. One of my favorites is always going to be the Citrus & Kale Potent C+E Serum. Very simple, just a couple of drops, and just pat it into the skin. I do recommend, after it's on the skin, just let it get in the skin before you get to your next step, which is your eye cream.
Step 4: Eye Cream
So, eye creams are then best applied after your serums, and if you watch some of our other videos, you see some application techniques. But really you just need a very small amount, so try not to overuse your eye creams, and then you want to always use your ring finger. So that's just a little tap there and then just tap it around your eye area. Once again, on and in the skin.
Step 5: Moisturize
Now you are ready to finish, and this going to be very important for daytime. I do encourage you using a moisturizer that gives you extra protection from the sun, so using an SPF moisturizer is a great way to go And then for your nighttime finishing cream, use something without an SPF in it. So in this case, I've just pulled out our beautiful Bright Skin Moisturizer SPF 40 because with the warmer weather, we want to get that extra protection to the tissues.
So that's all you really need to do. You just have to follow the very simple steps of cleansing your skin, toning, you want to do some type of treat like a serum, then you want to get your eye cream and follow with a protective moisturizer.
