We’re incredibly proud to announce that, on September 27,  Eminence Organic Skin Care became the first professional skin care company in Canada to be certified as a B Corporation®. When we first heard about the authentic ways that B Corporations (or “B Corps”™) are making a difference in the world, we knew we had to become part of this global movement.

What exactly is a B Corp? Certified B Corps are held to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. B Corp is to business what LEED certification is to buildings, or Fair Trade certification is to coffee. Each B Corp is certified through the nonprofit B Lab® through an extensive comprehensive evaluation. 
B Corps are important because they inspire all businesses to be not only the best in the world, but also the best for the world. “We are thrilled that Eminence Organic Skin Care is the first professional skin care company in Canada to become a Certified B Corporation,” says Joyce Sou, Director of B Lab Canada, the nonprofit certifying organization for B Corps. “On behalf of B Lab, we hope this inspires other cosmetic companies to join the global movement of people using business as a force for good."

To us, becoming a B Corp is more than a checklist. It means we actively examine how each of our business practices is socially and environmentally responsible and share the reason behind our decisions with our employees and customers.
