Éminence Supports "Hearts Of Montage" And The Leukemia Lymphoma Society
When Danni, an esthetician at one of our partner spas, recently reached out to us about her inspiring mission to sponsor cancer research, we knew we had to help. Being a leukemia survivor himself, our company president - Boldijarre Koronczay - shares her heartfelt passion to fight against cancer and to support research. Like Danni, we want to make a difference in creating a world free of cancer.
Danni’s support for cancer research finds benefit from her team at the Forbes Five-Star spa, Montage Laguna Beach, where she has combined her career with her philanthropic drive. Through her work as a board member with the Montage Resorts' “Hearts of Montage” program as well as chairing the annual Leukemia Lymphoma Society ‘Light the Night’ walk, Danni has raised an incredible $60,000 towards researching a cure for cancer. In appreciation of her spirit, she was recently nominated for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year.
Supporting the efforts of the amazing men and women researching a cure is a personal crusade for Danni. Her daughter, Elexis, was diagnosed with cancer and given six months to live at just 15 years of age. Suddenly and unexpectedly, Elexis passed away within days of her diagnosis.
“…I turned my sorrow into joy,” says Danni. “Elexis didn’t even have a chance to fight her cancer, so I choose to fight cancer in memory of her. I don’t want anyone to have to continue to suffer the pain and sorrow as we have.”
We are honored that Danni asked us to support her philanthropic efforts. Even more so, we are deeply touched by Danni’s strength when she said, “I ask that you not take life for granted and hold on to your loved ones with all your might.” Danni, your words hit home to all of us at Éminence. There’s one thing for sure, Danni … you may be nominated by the Leukemia Lymphoma Society but you’re also OUR Woman of the Year.
