Q&A with Boldijarre: Should Products Be Refrigerated?

Besides reaching achievements as an entrepreneur and a philanthropist, Boldijarre holds a wealth of knowledge as a master esthetician. We asked our customers on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for their best questions about our products and company, and Boldijarre was excited to answer. Tamara L asks: "Should some products be kept in the refrigerator?"
Tamara, you’re in for some insider’s information… if your skin tends to be oily, keep your products in the refrigerator to help your skin stay shine-free for even longer! While our products don’t require refrigeration, try this out for yourself and notice the difference.
Tara M asks: "I definitely have hormonal & stress-caused acne. I need to know how to get rid of it for good!"
Hi Tara! Thank you for the great question. Hormonal and stress-caused problem skin are directly related. As the body’s hormones fluctuate each month, your natural levels of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone change. This hormonal imbalance causes your skin to breakout. Also, when you feel stressed, your testosterone levels increase, which causes even more breakouts. Keep track of when problem skin occurs, and incorporate our Eight Greens products into your regimen for at least 10 days before problems begin appearing (or even all month!). This will ensure the organic, plant-based, topical phytoestrogens help balance your problem skin.
Maw G. asks: "Which masques can be worn overnight?"
Maw, amazing question. If you have dry skin, choose any of our creamy masques, like our Linden Calendula Treatment or the Chocolate Mousse Hydration Masque to wear overnight. For oily or problem skin, the Eight Greens Masque – the Not Hot version– is great to wear overnight. Remember, if you are masking overnight, be sure to put a towel over your pillowcase.

A fellow tree hugger! We love our trees. For our Forests for the Future™ initiative, we partner with Trees for the Future. This non-profit charity plants trees around the world – mostly in deforested areas like the Amazon. We just sponsored a small community in Senegal, Africa with their very own Forest Garden to help the locals grow their own natural, organic and Biodynamic foods to support their families with proper nutrition and agricultural income.
