“Euphoria” & “Ted Lasso” Stars Prep Their Skin With Eminence
Anyone who has watched the HBO teen drama Euphoria knows that bold, glittery makeup looks are used to enhance the show’s moody setting. And to pull off these vibrant looks, the actors prep their skin with a base of high quality skin care. Specifically, Euphoria actress Barbie Ferreira — best known for her role as Kat Hernandez — talked to Allure about her beauty ritual (including Eminence Organics products) and how she uses her routine as a form of self-care.
Read on to see what the Euphoria cast (Barbie and her co-star Alexa Demie) have to say about taking care of their skin. We also have product recommendations from a Ted Lasso cast member, keep reading to find out who!
The Euphoria Cast On Skin Care
Euphoria follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue (Zendaya), a drug addict straight out of rehab with no goals to stay clean. To suit the mood of the show, the cast has dazzled us with glitter, matte and metallic eyeshadow plus holographic rhinestones, to start.
Speaking to Allure, American-Brazilian model and actress Barbie shared that she has been using Eminence Organics’ face masks for years. In fact, they are her “tried-and-true-faves”. According to Allure, she loves to wear a facial mask while binge-watching Veep and Arrested Development. In an interview with Elle UK, Barbie revealed that her favorite mask was the Strawberry Rhubarb Masque. This delectable dessert-like mask not only smells good enough to eat, but it gently exfoliates and removes impurities. Strawberry and rhubarb work together to brighten the look of the complexion skin and reduce the appearance of pores. You can watch Barbie's skin care routine video here:
You might also recognize fellow Euphoria star Alexa from her role as the headstrong Maddy Perez. Speaking to Vogue.com, Alexa says: "After I cleanse my face, I like to use a little hydrating mist. I'm obsessed with Eminence. It's all organic and it's made out of vegetables and … botanicals. It's just all natural. I spray [the Stone Crop Hydrating Mist] on my face. It's also really refreshing.”
The Stone Crop Hydrating Mist helps to calm and restore the look of the skin, providing nourishment and hydration thanks to a formula consisting of lavender, stone crop juice and jasmine. It is particularly good for the appearance of an uneven skin tone. Watch Alexa chatting to Vogue.com as she shares her '90s makeup routine below.
After Maddy applies the Stone Crop Hydrating Mist, she likes to use a little of the Bamboo Firming Fluid underneath her primer for a smooth base. The Bamboo Firming Fluid tightens the appearance of the skin with a Natural Retinol Alternative designed to smooth the look of wrinkles and fine lines. It also contains bamboo, coconut water and coconut oil for deep hydration.
Ted Lasso’s Andrea Anders!
Actress Andrea Anders features in the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, as Ted’s wife, Michelle. The show is loosely based on the format and characters from NBC Sports. Actor Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, an American football coach who moves from the USA to England after being hired to manage a soccer team. The only issue is he has no experience.
Andrea is a huge Eminence Organics fan, stating: "I am absolutely obsessed with Eminence! I’ve been using their products for years and swear by them. Some of my favorites include the Lavender Night Eye Cream, Bamboo Age Corrective Masque and Rosehip Triple C+E Firming Oil,” she says.
The Lavender Night Eye Cream deeply moisturizes the delicate eye area with argan oil, evening primrose oil, shea butter and calendula oil. The Bamboo Age Corrective Masque uses ingredients such as bamboo and shea butter to help your complexion look supple and rejuvenated. Lastly, Rosehip Triple C+E Firming Oil helps to seal in hydration and fights the signs of aging. Rosehip oil is rich in Vitamins C, E and essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids improve the skin’s texture and tone, for younger-looking skin.
