We recently had a conversation with Tamara Eacott, our representative in Australia and President of Green Living Cosmetics, whose vision started years ago when trying to find the best skincare products for her specific skin concerns. Through this, she grew into her current position as a skin care professional powerhouse with Eminence Organics. With her ever-growing accomplishments, she was recently featured on Foxtel News and personally invited onto the Queensland set of the next Marvel blockbuster, "Thor: Ragnarok."

What is your name and your role with Eminence Organics?

My name is Tamara Eacott and my company is the exclusive distributor of Eminence Organics in Australia and the region.

Can you describe yourself in one sentence?

I am a reluctant A type personality and I dream of flying by the seat of my pants, but I secretly relish routine and structure!

How many years have you worked for Eminence Organics and how big is your team now?

I have been the Australian distributor for Eminence Organics and operating my company, Green Living Cosmetics, since late 2004. At first it was just me and now, we have two sales staff, two administrators and myriad professional consultants PLUS me!

Why were you inspired to work in skin care?

Having a terrible bout of acne as a young person taught me to look after my skin from a young age and I am reaping those rewards now at 44. The transition happened quickly: One day I thought it was a great idea to become a skin care professional and six weeks later I had enrolled in esthetics college and moved 1000 km away from my family! One of my few spontaneous moments.

Why is organic skin care so important to you?

I seek out purity and honesty. Organic simplifies the intention and keeps me focused on the benefits I am getting rather than the negatives I am trying to avoid.

What is so special about the Eminence Organics philosophy?

There is a harmony of focus in three areas: It’s a beautiful product that 1) works, 2) consciously cares for the environment and 3) provides unwavering support of the special people using Eminence Organics daily in their businesses and at home.

What is your all-time favorite Eminence Organics product and why?

Wow, tough question. Is it possible to have an all-time favorite? If I had to choose I would go for Eminence Organics Apricot Body Oil. The whole family uses it after showering and we love it as a massage oil for our baby. The fragrance lingers in the bathroom and a little bit goes a long way.

You recently visited the set of Marvel Movie "Thor Ragnarok" which was filming in Australia. Can you tell us about that?

We received a very exciting phone call from a make-up artist working on the set of "Thor: Ragnarok." She had heard of Eminence Organics but hadn’t had the opportunity to try it yet. The chance presented itself when Mark Ruffalo begged to use nothing but Eminence Organics on his skin during filming. The buzz quickly spread with the other actors and make-up artists and before we knew it, we were on set meeting the actors and ensuring they had the best products for their skin. I got to stay and watch the afternoon make-up touch ups and chat with actress Tessa Thompson about the vacation she was planning at the completion of filming. A very memorable experience!
