Role Summary

The Sales & Loyalty Program Manager (SLPM) is responsible for the continuous improvement of Eminence’s Loyalty Program and for providing extraordinary support to the Outside Sales team and associated teams at the Vancouver Central Office. The SLPM leads the Sales Support Administrator and manages Eminence’s Sales Programs with strategic input from key stakeholders. 


Reporting and Peer Relationships

The Sales Program Manager (SLPM) will report to the Business Analysis Manager and is directly responsible for the success of Eminence’s Sales and Loyalty Programs for all North American Customers. The SLPM works closely with teams in Sales, Order Services, Supply Chain, Information Services, Customer Education, Business Analysis, Marketing, Digital Marketing and Product Development. 


Roles and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Sales Programs

  • Oversee the Eminence Loyalty Program and other ongoing Eminence Reward programs with the goal to increase revenue while providing extraordinary Customer experiences
  • Oversee Sales Programs that occur on a reoccurring quarterly or annual cycle, including managing mailings related to merchandizing tools and holiday gifting 
  • Partner with Marketing & Digital departments on programs and initiatives to grow sales and enhance service
  • Track, analyze and provide monthly reports on Sales Programs
  • Recommend process improvements based on analysis
  • Present on Sales Programs at Eminence’s Annual Business Conference (ABC) as required
  • Oversee the annual creation and maintenance of the Key Account Customer list and mailing groups 
  • Contribute to meetings and taskforces
  • Assist in effective rollout of new tools and facilitate successful change management with the Outside Sales team 
  • Assist with the annual forecast template creation and forecasting process
  • Assist the Key Account Managers for International and Online Distribution where appropriate

Project Management

  • Identify business needs and seek new venues for sales growth by identifying trends through industry research (external opportunities), internal sales analysis, market intelligence from Outside Sales Manager territory visits, all while remaining aligned with Eminence’s Vision
  • Lead multiple projects while successfully meeting timelines and KPIs through various stages of project completion
  • For each project:
    • Identify project scope (based on cyclicality, trends, competitive analysis) including definition of goals and KPIs for each project
    • Actively lead the budgeting proposal and provide analysis and reports to senior leaders as needed
    • Identify key participants from all departments and provide them with defined sub-projects, deliverables and project charters
    • Develop detailed work project plans in conjunction with project team-members, which include project schedules, communications and resource plans 
    • Adhere to Eminence Project Management Methodology and best practices 
    • Revise project plan based on changes in project scope, resources or deadlines
    • Develop communication and roll out plan for project deliverables, while working with contributors to create tools and resources as needed
    • Analyze project performance reports and monitor progress of related KPIs

Outside Sales Team Support

  • Via the Sales Support Administrator:
    • Maintain Outside Sales Teams’ training calendars and monitor overdue training by Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) on a monthly basis
    • Manage OSR commission processing and respond to OSRs’ inquiries or escalations on discrepancies
    • Coordinate Quarterly Territory Review Meetings with the OSRs
    • Manage annual ongoing Customer eligibility for Spa Locator 
    • Process OSR supply and personal orders
    • Monitor and track OSR expenditures on supplies for each territory’s supply kits
    • Partner with Supply Chain and Marketing to manage OSRs’ supply orders and new launch material allocation
    • Drive sub-projects within the preparation for Eminence’s Annual Business Conference, including the creation of pre-tests and post-tests for the Outside Sales Team

Inside Sales Team Support

  • Answer questions about Sales Programs from the Inside Sales Team
  • Work with Marketing to assist the Inside Sales Team with Merchandizing Planogram inquiries and requests  

Process Improvement

  • Contribute actively in meetings relating to Sales Programs, Launches, Forecasting, Sales Contests and in one-on-one weekly meetings with leader
  • Provide improvement ideas in the weekly Sales Leader meetings in order to provide the best support and service to the Outside Sales Team and our Customers

Leadership & Human Resources

  • Provide leadership, coverage and backup for all duties of the Sales Support Administrator
  • Partner in the attraction and selection of new team-members (posting jobs, filtering resumes and interviewing candidates)
  • Provide orientation, training, performance expectations and coaching for all new hires
  • Monitor and communicate progress on key goals and initiatives to team-members
  • Assist in developing training plans and materials, policies and procedures
  • Ensure tools are prepared for each new hire on their first day of work
  • Provide ongoing coaching to the team on all aspects of the role
  • Discuss performance issues promptly with team-members and supportively manage the performance improvement process
  • Conduct regular scheduled one on ones with team-members 
  • Prepare & assist in conducting annual performance reviews for all team-members
  • Assist in daily activities of team as needed

Experience REQUIRED

  • Sales - minimum 3-4 years
  • Customer Service - minimum 2-3 years 
  • Conflict Resolution and Problem solving – minimum 1-2 years
  • Leadership & Management - minimum 2 years 
  • Business writing experience – minimum 2 years
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software – minimum 1 year 
  • Retail merchandizing – 1-2 years preferred 
  • Background in the Esthetic, Spa or Health & Beauty industry – 1-2 years preferred 
  • Project Management – 1-2 years preferred 
  • Training facilitation or Presentation delivery – 1-2 years preferred
  • B2B Online and/or B2C Online Sales – 1-2 years an asset
  • Territory Sales Representative experience - asset
  • Management of an Outside Sales Team – asset
  • Management of an Inside Sales Team - asset
